Tonight we’re putting on “The Ransom” for Christmas Eve at Friend Church in Irmo, SC.
ABOUT THE RANSOM:
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 Christmas is the celebration of our Savior’s intersection with history. Before Jesus showed up the world laid in ruin from sin, ransomed and separated from our loving Creator. Jesus came to pay the ransom to free us. After Jesus, a world-wide movement of hope and restoration began. Just like the moment Christ intersected history, we all live in the tension of story written before Jesus showed up and after He ransomed us. The Ransom is a presentation of God’s mighty story that is being written in all of our lives.
